Spadework – independent training organisation
Spadework is an independent training organisation, which undertakes tuition in a number of subject areas for Adults with Learning Disabilities.
We feel it is essential that all our Trainees, as we like to call them, are given the opportunity to achieve their full potential, however great or small that may be.
We provide training in Horticulture, Woodwork, Amenity Gardening, Catering, Retailing and Computing with plans to extend this range of activities in the near future.
Our friendly and patient staff are all acknowledged experts in their field of tuition. We have a wide catchment area within mid-Kent which is catered for by our two sites: our headquarters site at Offham, West Malling and our sister site at Hildenborough, which lies between Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.
In addtion to the service we offer our trainees we also offer a service to the local community. We have a Farm Shop which provides all your needs from fresh locally produced fruit and veg to bread and milk. In Tastebuds cafe you can have a freshly cooked meal or pop in for a coffee and cake.
Tastebuds can also cater for parties and functions in our function room.
The nursery is an abundance of beautiful plants all cared for by our trainees at very reasonable prices.
Please feel free to come and visit us. We are open 7 days a week.
Our principal objective is to help all those who are able to make a valued contribution to the world of work through accreditation and demonstrable progression.
